Sir Abu Nair, Island Resort, Arabian Gulf

Concept Design, Feasibility and ROI analysis for a UAE based developer, for a 100 key boutique Hotel Resort with a Marina as well as an Education and Activity Centre catering to schools, private villas and a self-sufficient community area including retail, Mosque, staff accommodation and utilities incorporating eco-friendly power generation and waste water treatment. A full market study was carried out by Viability and ROI by Colliers.

Palace Resort, Obhour, Jeddah, KSA

A pre-concept design for a Palace resort on the Red Sea coast for a VVIP requiring privacy and security. The resort of 39,000 sq m was to accommodate separate male and female areas, a central Palace and offices with leisure facilities.

Ejabah Hotels

Ejabah Masterplan & Concept, Makkah, KSA

Design and Design Management working with the Client, Muthmerah, to establish a viable approach on a steeply sloping site with limited access. The key objective was to limit excavation of the mountain to 300,000 cubic metres, a task that could only be monitored by the early implementation of a BIM model to quantify such metrics.

Luxury Residential & Boutique Hotel, Dubai Water Canal

Design and Design Management  for a 65 key Boutique Hotel with a GFA of 12,000 sq m and Luxury apartments for Developer MERAAS, as part of a masterplan on Dubai Water Canal. Project Director and Design Management of all disciplines including Interior Designers GEO ID; project taken from inception to Scheme Design.

Preparation of a Property Improvement Plan (PIP) for a four star hotel requiring careful analysis of brand standards to re-establish the hotel as one of the leading hotels in Tbilisi.

Peninsula Hotel, City of London, UK

Design Management of the Interior Design component of the new Peninsula Hotel in London. Charles was part of the bid team winning the Interior Design Delivery contract with the London Office of Hopkins. Interior Designer Peter Morino of New York was appointed to design the front of house Concepts, with Hopkins executing Back of House and Construction packages. The building was designed by Hopkins Architects.
